Did you know that the night of 31st October, is the eve of All Saints' Day?

And that´s often celebrated by children dressing up in frightening masks and costumes?

Do you  know the origin of the term - Halloween?

It comes from the late 18 th century: contraction of All Hallow Even (Hallowe´en or Halloween)!
 
It is thought to be associated with the Celtic festival Samhain, when ghosts and spirits were believed to be abroad!
